Farm Heritage Day set for Saturday BUCYRUS Unger Farm Heritage Day will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Unger Park, 1303 Bucyrus Nevada Road. There will be a petting zoo, nature craft for kids, horse-drawn wagon tours, outhouse tours, bale romping, mule plowing, music and displays of farmstead items. Warren Uxley will give a prairie tour at 1 p.m.

Hunt club plans Family Field Day BUCYRUS Elkhorn Lake Hunt Club, 4146 Klopfenstein Road, will Kiess family gathers for reunion Leesville Grange 2078 LEESVILLE The Leesville Grange 2078 met at 5:30 p.m. Sunday in the William Brown Arts and Crafts Building at the Crawford County Fairgrounds for its annual Grange membership picnic. Chaplain Dorothy Eckert offered prayer before the meal. Master President Donald Graf presided over the meeting.

The Legislative report was given. Delegates Don Graf and Kathie Burk-man will serve on the budget committee at the Ohio State Grange Submitted story BUCYRUS The 69th annual reunion of the Jacob Kiess (1811-1882) family was held on Sunday afternoon at the Whetstone Township home of Dr. and Mrs. John Kiess Kurtz. Twelve family members attended.

Mary (Kiess) Barth, wife of the late Dr. Karl Barth of New Washington, was honored at the reunion as the centenarian and oldest surviving member of the family. Following the customary potluck repast of various favorite family foods, there was a brief business session during which the long time and "retiring" reunion secretary, Joanne (Albright) Seith from Westerville, Ohio, was recognized for her many years of service. The group then spent considerable time sharing the year's past major family events. Included were greetings from out of town Kiess relatives Admission is free.

The event includes Revolutionary War, War of 1812 and Civil War re-enactors as well as period crafters, historic and modern vendors with goods for sale throughout the park, food and music, displays and demonstrations such as broom making, rope making, flint knapping, spinning, weaving, tomahawk and knife trowing and more.
