Buckeye Central High School went from a 95 percent graduation rate in 2007-08 to 100 percent in 2008-09. Rates from this year are not available. "Our teachers and staff try to give personal attention to each student and get to know the students and their families," said Teresa Shafer, the district's school board president "They also provide intervention to students as they need it to help them stay ontracktograduate.Asa board, we are thrilled with our graduation rate." At Colonel Crawford, the graduation rate has improved during the past three years, with 98.7 percent of students graduating last year. State officials expect a graduation rate of 90 percent of eligible seniors, which was met by four of six county schools. Abandoned body leads to bond of $250,000 BY DAN CLUTTER Telegraph-Forum CIRCLEVILLE A Bucyrus truck driver arrested by the Pickaway County Sheriff 's Office after a woman's body was found at a rest stop last week allegedly told a friend he panicked. Trenton Derenberger, 33, was given a $250,000 bond and has been charged with abuse of a corpse. He has not been charged in the death of Kim Vaughn, of Memphis, who's body was found near a rest stop on U.S. 23 near Circleville on July 9.

WBNS-TV reported Deren-berger's fiancee said her future husband told her he panicked because he was afraid of losing everything. "Losing me, his daughter, his job, he said it's just overwhelming, he was just overwhelmed, panicked, fear, not knowing what to do," she said. "I do not believe he had anything to do with this woman dying. I do not believe that he hurt her in any way." The TV station reported Derenberger admitted Vaughn died in his company and that he drove for six hours before dumping her body. A news release from the Pickaway County Sheriff 's Office said Sheriff Dwight Radcliff and Lf.

Dale Parrish began investigating Vaughn's recent activities. They discovered Vaughn was seen alive in the vicinity of the Petro Truck Plaza at Interstate 40 and Interstate 75 in Knoxville, the day before her body was found. John Andrew Motter was appointed as her attorney and Rumer was released on a personal recognizance bond. That shared competitive drive led the two men to ride in the Ohio Senior Olympics last week in Akron. Bucyrus resident Jack Stockmaster, 73, has been competing since 2008, when he first qualified in the Ohio Senior Olympics and went on to the national games in 2009. Brian Stockmaster, 51, who grew up in Bucyrus, began riding to stay in shape after moving to Charleston, S.C. The 1977 Wynford High School graduate now rides for the Low Country Cycling Team in Charleston, competing in eight or more races a year.
