According to the report, he was westbound on Middletown Road when his. 1983 Ford Ranger dropped off the right side of the road. The vehicle went off the road a second time and flipped over.

Hodgson was wearing a safety belt. 9 p.m. Kendra S. Sallee, 20, Willard, was not injured or cited when she was southbound on state Route 98 north of Ridgeton-Annapo-lis Road and struck a deer that attempted to cross from the east. The accident caused moderate damage to Sallees vehicle.

6:30 a.m. Sunday A deer was struck on state Route 103 when it ran into the path of an eastbound vehicle driven by George W. Church, 65, 1135 Fremont who was not injured. Sheriffs Office Sunday 12:53 a.m. Mrs.

Lewis Wilson, 4251 State Route 98, reported that a car parked in her driveway was on fire. Liberty Township Fire Department and deputies responded. The 1985 Buick Sommerset owned by Elwood Gebhardt, 1695 State Route 100, sustained $2,500 to $3,000 worth of damage. The vehicle was driven by Matthew J. Gebhardt.

There was also damage to Wilsons driveway. 12:23 a.m. Charges of underage alcohol consumption and obstruction of official business are pending against a juvenile. A deputy was investigating a report of a juvenile who had been drinking in the 2400 block of state Route 602. Juvenile Court authorities were contacted and the juvenile was released to their custody.

Saturday 7:50 p.m. A car-deer accident was reported on County Road 35, just east of state Route 598. Charles I. The car went off the north side of the road, came back on the road and then went off the south side, struck a ditch and landed against a guy wire. Britton and his two passengers, Chad Britton, 15, same address, and Charles D. Whited, 17, 643 Hess Galion, declined treatment of their injuries. The car sustained moderate damage and was towed.

No citation was issued. 3:52 p.m. Charles W. Murray II, 21, 1996 Biddle Road, Galion, was cited for a stop sign violation on Biddle Road at Brandt Road. Friday Jill A.

Lewis, 24, 22 Lutz Drive, was transferred to the Wyandot County jail for housing after she was sentenced to 90 days in jail on an assault charge. Jessie B. Williams, 33, 625 Prospect was booked into the county jail after he was given a 22-month sentence on charges of domestic violence, two counts of driving while under license suspension and having fictitious plates. 10:03 a.m. A deputy responded to a report of a break-in at a residence in the Timken Subdivision.

Several items were reported taken. The matter is. still under investigation. 2:15 p.m. -r No injuries or citations were reported from an accident in the parking lot of Willys Waffle Works, 1613 Lincoln Highway.

Groves, 2, 3818 Lincoln received eight stitches in a laceration to his left cheek after he was bitten by a mixed shepherd in the 1000 block of Winchester Avenue.

Police said Groves and his grandmother were walking past the residence of Mary Harriger, 1014 Winchester when the dog ran off the porch and bit the boy. Harriger was told to confine the dog for 10 days and have it checked by a veterinarian. 4:21 p.m. Patricia Duman, 25, 283 Lemert Road, Sycamore, was reported missing after she was dropped off by a friend in the area of Washington Square at around 10 p.m. the previous night.

No foul play is suspected in the disappearance of Duman, who is described as 5 foot, 5 inches tall, 100 pounds, long, light brown hair and hazel eyes. She wears glasses and had on a white nylon coat and blue jeans when she was last seen. 4:55 p.m. Darrell Butler, 800 S. Spring told police someone took a Realistic 40-channel citizens band radio from his locked vehicle.

8 p.m. Mary L. Bentley, 21, 822 Cleland was cited on Beal Avenue for improper passing. 9:35 p.m. A citation was issued to Sharon A.

Spears, 46, 645 E. Irving for exceeding the speed. limit on N. Sandusky Avenue. 11:12 p.m.

Officers investigated a report from Darrell Hughes, 122 W. Warren that some people-were running through the area knocking on doors. Hughes said a window was broken at a nearby apartment. The suspects were not located. 11:42 p.m.

James E. Eulett, 22, No. 4 Lutz Drive, was stopped by police on W. Mary Street and issued a citation for driving without an operators license. Sunday 12:52 a.m.

Diane K. Hensley, 33, 311 Jump was cited for failure to control when she drove her vehicle into a tree lawn on W. Mary Street. Police said Hensley was westbound on Mary Street when she attempted to turn north on James Street and lost control of her 1981 Chevrolet Scottsdale. The truck sideswiped a stop sign on the corner and left ruts in the lawn.

It had light damage. 4:48 a.m. Two men who were reportedly stealing realtors signs from the 500 block of Prospect Street were not located. 10:31 a.m. Officers were called to 431 y-i Woodlawn by family members of the resident, Opal Valias, who was found deceased.

10:52 a.m. Gilbert Ross 615 Pleasant Hill, reported his billfold taken from his unlocked vehicle. 1 p.m. Denise McCartney, 1833 Woodlawn Galion, reported a Realistic stereo stolen from her unlocked vehicle in the 600 block of S. Walnut Street.

The value of the AMFM radio was $148. 1:30 p.m. Mary J. Brown, 21, 938 Union was involved in an accident when she was westbound on Hopley Avenue and a gray Old-smobile pulled off Prospect Street in front of her. Brown struck the right rear of the southbound vehicle, which left tfye area.

She said a woman with curly hair was driving. The accident caused moderate damage to Browns 1991 Ford Escort. 3:13 p.m. Ann Groves, 533 S. Spring reported someone had killed her cat.

There was no indication of how the cat was killed. 3:23 p.m. Officers talked to a youth about misbehaving by knocking on doors in the 400 block of W. Mansfield Street and running away. 10:19 p.m.

No value was given for a Maxon radar detector reported stolen from a vehicle owned by Lewis Zornes, 857 S. Spring St. 3:44 a.m. today Officers were called to Neffs Market, 713 S. Sandusky by a passing motorist who had stopped in front of the store to.

buy a can of pop and had 60 cans spill out of the machine. The pop was taken to the police department and personnel from Neffs were notified. Patrol Saturday 7:10 p.m. Robert C. Hodgson 42, Galion, was injured in an accident on Middletown Road east of Nazor Road.

Hodgson was taken to Quake reported WASHINGTON (AP) A strong earthquake occurred this morning in the Pacific Ocean off Canadas Vancouver Island, the U.S. Geological Survey reported. The tremor was centered in the Pacific about 150 miles off the coast of Vancouver Island and about 330 miles west-northwest of Vancouver, British Columbia. Scientists at the USGS National Earthquake Information Service in Golden, said early seismograph readings indicated the tremor registered 6.5 on the Richter scale. It occurred at 6:55 a.m.

PDT. The USGS scientists said the earthquake was felt in the Port Hardy area near the northern end of Vancouver Island. The earthquake occurred along the Pacific Ring of Fire, an area encircling the Pacific Ocean where earthquakes are common. The Richter scale is a measure of the strength of an earthquake as recorded by the ground motion. a presidential-style republic.

Dual power will end at this Congress. Either, a presidential republic or chaos will triumph, said Shakrai. Friends may call Tuesday at the funeral home from 6-9 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Diabetes Association of Central Ohio. Sarah R. Liles Sarah R. Liles, 62, of 436 Center Drive, Upper Sandusky, died at 3:20 p.m.

Sunday, April 5, 1992, in her residence. She had been ill for 18 months. Mrs. Liles was born Oct. 17, 1929, in Jackson Township, Wyandot County, to the late Harold and Lucille (Young) Hemmerly.

She was married April 9, 1950, in Upper Sandusky by Rev. Aultman to George F. Liles, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Michael (Sue Ellen) Arnold of Westerville, a son, Joel O.

Liles of Marion, six sisters, Mrs. Richard (June) Messenger and Mrs. Lowell (Mary) Naus, both of Forest, Mrs, James (Ruth) McClain and Mrs. Jack (Laura) Wilson, both of Upper Sandusky, Mrs. Lawrence (Faye) Hougendobler of Floral City, and Mrs.

Boyd (Evie) Dunn of Sycamore, a brother, Henry O. Hemmerly of Forest, and two grandchildren, Scott and Brian Liles. A homemaker, Mrs. Liles was a 1947 graduate of Forest High School and was a cheerleader for four years. She was employed at United Aircraft in Forest for over 33 years and retired in January 1992.

She was a member of John Stewart United Methodist Church, Upper Sandusky, and Karls Golf Club, Upper Sandusky. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Upper Sandusky Chapel-Lucas Funeral Home. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Upper Sandusky, and Rev.v A. Gail Sims will officiate.

Friends may visit Tuesday from 2-4 and.7-9 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Wyandot County or John Stewart United Methodist Church. Valias, 82, of 431 Woodlawn died shortly after 9 a.m. Sunday, April 5, 1992, in her home.

Mrs. Valias was born July 28, 1909, in Liberty Township, Crawford County, to the late Eddie L. and Emma (Layer) Crum. She was married Oct. 21, 1951, to Gus Valias, who preceded her in death May 2, 1960.

Surviving her are a daughter, Mrs. Russell (Barbara Welch) Watson of Bucyrus, three grandchildren, David R. Watson of Scottsdale, Thomas W. Watson of Bucyrus and Karen E. Watson of Mt.

Gilead, a great-grandson, Wesley Watson, two step great-grandchildren, Stafford and Bryan Smith of Arizona, and a sister, Alice Harrop of Augusta, Me. A brother preceded her in death. A lifelong resident of this area, Mrs. Valias graduated from Sulphur Springs High School 1928. She was owner-operator of The Pub Restaurant from 1951-61.

She worked as a floral designer for Nortons Flowers for a number of years. Mrs. Valias was a member of St, Pauls Lutheran Church. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Wise Funeral Home.

The, Rev. James Barken-quast will officiate and burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Pauls Lutheran Church.

Barbara A. Spencer Barbara A. Spencer, 49, of 811 Colby Road, Crestline, died at 6:04 p.m. Sunday, April 5, 1992, in Crestline Memorial Hospital after becoming ill at home. Mrs.

Spencer was born Jan. 31, 1943, in Kittaning, to Dominic and Rose Marie (Scripps) Slaviero, who survive. She was married May, 20, 1961, to Randy Spencer, who survives. Also surviving her are two daughters, Mrs. Glen (Renee) Boyd of Crestline and Mrs.

Glen (Sharon) Rhinehart of Sarasota, two sons, Lance Cpl. Randy Spencer, stationed at Koneohe Bay, Hawaii, and Ryan Spencer, at home, four grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Nick (Marie) Vulch of Crestline. She lived in the Crestline for 30 years and arrived there from Ford City, Pa. She was a member of St.

Joseph Catholic Church in Crestline. Mrs. Spencer was a hair stylist at Foxes Den in Crestline and had worked in the deli department at Foodtown Plus Supermarket in Crestline. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, Crestline. She graduated in 1961 from Ford City High School, Ford City, Pa.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the St. Joseph Catholic Church, Crestline. Rev. Jerome Niedermier and Rev.

William Horning will officiate. Burial will be in Crawford County Memory Gardens, Crestline. Friends may call at the Mark A. Schneider Funeral Home, Crestline, on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Dale L.

Ramier Dale L. Ramier, 77, of 420 Indian Mill Drive, Upper Sandusky, died at 8:50 p.m. April 4, 1992, in Wyandot Memorial Hospital, Upper Sandusky. Mr. Ramier was born Sept.

5, 1914, in Claridon, to the late Renee and Charlotte (Adams) Ramier. He was married Sept. 6, 1950, to Mildred Predmore, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Anthony Ramier of Upper Sandusky, a sister, Alice Hurt of Kenton, three brothers, Finley, Harry and Arthur, and a sister, Hazel Bailey. Mr.

Ramier was an auto mechanic and retired at Ft. Leonard, Wood, in 1976 after 35 years. He did civil service with the U.S. Army. A U.S.

Army veteran of World War II, he was a member of American Legion Post 225, Upper Sandusky, and Disabled American Veterans. Graveside services will be Saturday at 11:30 a.m. in McKendree Cemetery, near Marseilles. Rev. Harold Hasenauer will officiate.

At the request of the family there will be no visitation hours. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Wyandot County through the Lucas Funeral Home, Upper Sandusky. Agnes X. Finnegan Agnes X. Finnegan, 92, formerly of Settlement East Road, Shelby, died April 6, 1992, in Crestline Nursing Home.

Arrangements are pending at the Mark A. Schneider Funeral Home, Crestline. Carl W. Reeder Carl W. Reeder, 93, of 5180 Columbus-Sandusky Road North, Kirkpatrick, died Sunday, April 5, 1992, in Marion Manor Nursing Home.

Mr. Reeder was born Jan. 20, 1899, in Kirkpatrick to the late A.K. and Minnie (Ehrhart) Reeder. He was married in 1910 to Marie Bayles who died in 1977.

Surviving him are a son, James of Marion, two daughters, Mrs. i.
